What is that door bell and why does it ring? i keep going back to the main page and see nothing has changed. please explain it to me.Almost as bad as the Mcdonalds commerical with the vibrating text noise that makes me check mine.

I think the bell is just to let you know that you are officially logged in and to proceed to do whatever you want.

used to be that someone was chatting or adding a post, but when I look, nothing has changed.

I do have a funny story about that though.  My step daughter's husband had to be out of town for a week at a training class so she didn't want to stay alone in their house.  Her mom, who also lives alone said she could come and stay with her.  So one evening, she called her mom and said she'd be over in awhile.  When she arrived, the front door was locked ...so she rang the doorbell....no one came ...she rang it again......no one came so she rang it..rang it...rang it rang it...several times quickly..About then, her cell phone rang...she answered it.  It was her frantic mother...saying,,,,"Someone is ringing  my doorbell several times...What should I do?"  My step daugher said,,,"It's me stupid, Open up the door"....LOL

There was a bell associated with the chat boxes on the main page...since the chat boxes did not seem to be a popular feature anymore, I have disabled them from view to everyone, but did not delete them in case we want to place them back on the board.

Let me know if this eliminates the "doorbell" and if you want the chat boxes back...I'm not aware of any other feature that has any type of bell.
