how do you turn a digital avi into a screensaver?

anyone know how to make a homemade movie from your digital camera into a screensaver  for your computer?

I have software on my computer that will change movies into gif files; if you upload the movie to the videohost, I'll download it and convert it for you.

i don't understand. what is a videohost? and where do I find one? I wanna make a screensaver of the giraffes at brookfild zoo when I went there and stared at them.
