My ex wife knew better than to wake me up--I'd wake up swing'g
Left Vietnam in 1972 and now it is 2009. When choppers turn their blades and I hear that whoop whoop sound, I still cry.
Washington DC Vietnam Memorial
I can't visit
My company sent medics to their death
An Loc always had requests for field medics

I remember very little of Nam. I don't want to.
I have pushed it into the back of my mind somewhere. I intend to leave it there.
I don't remember anyone touching me when they woke me. The only ones who could get near me were my nephews or nieces on my kids who would no occasion would crawl into bed with me.
I've never been to the Memorial. I don't even know if I could or if I would remember any names if I saw them.
A friend of mine was a medic with the Marines and the men he was with took very good care of him. They were grateful for him.
An I do remember a lot of request for field medics.
At least we can talk to each other about it.
