David White, known to our members as Zooknoone, joined The Original Coffee Shop on July 29, 2005. His very first post was on July 29th on "The Birthday List", simply stating "I turn 40 on 9-19".

Since that time, Zook joined Coffeenole's Coffee Shop 2006, and also made the move to our new site when it opened.

Zook had a myriad of ups and downs over the last few years, but always had kind words for everyone, especially those who visited his threads..."Let's cheese one for the Zooker" on The Original Coffee Shop, "Say hi to me" on Coffeenole's Coffee Shop 2006, and "Say hi to zook" here.  He will be long remembered, and will be honored for as long as any version of this forum. David passed away from an aortal aneurysm on March 27, 2009.

This was his final post on our site...

Farewell, our brother, and thank you for all that you gave to us!

Into your hands, O Lord
we humbly entrust our brother.
In this life you embraced him with your tender love;
deliver him now from every evil
and bid him enter eternal rest.

The old order has passed away:
welcome him then into paradise,
where there will be no sorrow, no weeping nor pain,
but the fullness of peace and joy
with your Son and the Holy Spirit
for ever and ever.

 Amen.

:praying: This site is a little different to navigate... OK, zook was one of my  first buddies on gas buddy website... He always had a kind  word in every single  PM he sent... I enjoyed his friendship so much,  I still find it hard to believe he is gone..

I have pure white homing pigeons, and one of my hens laid an egg this evening, and I looked at that egg, and said, "Zook"!  yeah, I am going to name one of my new birds after "Zook".

They are beautiful to watch when I fly them, and I think it would be a very nice tribute to have one in his name.. "Flying High" this summer, Flying Free..... Like a Dove up above

If you allow pics, I will come back  from time to time, and post pics of him..  These birds live a long, long time, and  I just thought it would be a nice tribute to Zook.  He had told  me  he thought my birds were a nice hobby Smiley  My buddy, Zook. He was a very thoughtful, giving man.  I will miss him .

Thank you, Coffeenole, for allowing me to  post here.

Cry  I am really going to miss our friend zook.  He and I chatted a lot about life, our marriages and our children.  He loved his daughter so very much.  Life was never easy for zook, but he did always try and find some light in all of his darkness.  I will think of him every Daylight Savings Time.  He hated the clocks going back and I hate the clocks going forward.  Football season will not be the same w/out zook trying to cheer for his "Bolts".  His remarks about them were always comical.  I really just wanted to believe this was wrong, a bad joke. I truly hope that zook will find the happiness he so fervently sought each day.

I wish I had known him better than I did; reading his blogs and hearing his music over the last few days have given me more insight into the person Zook was.  He will truly be missed.
