I wanted to let everyone know that I removed a series of several postings between a couple of our members...and while there was no violations of any sort in any of their postings, I felt it necessary to remove a source of bickering before it escalated further.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to remind everyone about the "IGNORE MEMBER" feature. If there is anyone on here with whom you are having an issue, don't hesitate to use it. It's far better to ignore someone than to cause conflict and strife.
And a few thoughts of my own...
This forum was created as an alternative to places where personal attacks are not swiftly dealt with. There are many people on this forum who have full administrative powers on this site; each one I would trust with the keys to my house just as quickly as I would trust the operations of this simple online forum. One of the abilities that the forum admins have is the ability to see IP addresses and know if there is more than one user name sharing a computer.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with more than one user name using a computer...we have several groups of family members/people sharing a household who use the same IP address. There is also nothing wrong with someone using more than one user name, providing that it is for purposes that is not detrimental to the forum. (Everyone knows that Coffeenole and Family Guy are one and the same, used for different purposes.)
I have absolutely no interest in how Comcast, Twitter, Facebook, Yahoo, or any other social network run their sites. What I DO care about is maintaining a good and peaceful site here in
and the Family of Forums, and while it is rare that I will remove posts, I will remove ones that I feel are a detriment to the overall good of the membership.
Also, try to remember this...we never know what is truly going on with someone on the other end of the keyboard, and what I believe sets this site apart from most is that we
do have a caring membership.
